Just to explain: The cabin itself is 2 story and actually about 18 x 24 as described in payment for Indian improvements to Charles Vann. The second floor of all the 4 sections of the building appear to have been added at different times, including the back portion that was added at 2 different times to increase the residential rooms. The southern end of the building may be almost as old as the cabin and is bigger with a stair case to the top next to the cabin that connected the top of the cabin to the other top rooms after the first west addition was done.
