COME SEE THE CABIN SATURDAY, AUGUST 27TH 10-5

 SATURDAY, AUGUST 27TH    10-5
 CABIN/HOTEL  TOURS (WITH SIGNED WAIVER)
(ALL DONATIONS MUCH APPRECIATED)

THE CABIN COMMITTEE WILL OFFER TOURS OF THE BUILDING WITH VERY
SMALL GROUPS TO VIEW  THE STRUCTURE.   SOME AREAS ARE NOT SAFE
TO VIEW EVEN AFTER THE CLEAN OUT,  BUT IN  LIMITED GUIDED GROUPS OF
1-3 PEOPLE ONE CAN GET IMPORTANT VIEWS OF THIS GRAND OLD STRUCTURE
WITHOUT  DAMAGING THE BUILDING (OR THEMSELVES.) ADULTS (16 UP)
ONLY ABOVE THE GROUND FLOOR (NO PROTECTIVE RAILINGS UPSTAIRS).

IT HAS BEEN EXPRESSED THAT THE BUILDING IS BEGINNING TO COME
ALIVE AGAIN IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF THOSE WHO
WITH THE CLEAN UP. THE FEELING OF PAST HISTORY FROM MUCH
EARLIER ERAS AND  THE  PEOPLE THAT VISITED AND LIVED  THERE IS
LOUD AND CLEAR, (ESPECIALLY TO THE YOUNG WORKER THAT HEARD
SOMEONE UPSTAIRS CALLING HIM TO COME UPSTAIRS. HE WENT,
SINCE HE HAD PLACED HIS  CELL PHONE IN ONE OF THE ROOMS THERE.
FINDING NO ONE UPSTAIRS,  HE HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF A FEMALE
WHISPERING IN HIS EAR.  HIS RAPID DECENT DOWN THE RELATIVELY
UNSAFE  MIDDLE STAIRCASE FURTHER DAMAGED ONE OF THE STAIRS
WITHOUT  INJURY TO HIM, BUT  HIS SURPRISED AND
ASHEN FACE WAS EVIDENT TO ALL.)

RESEARCH  ON THE LOG STRUCTURE WILL BE ON VIEW ON SATURDAY.
EVIDENT INSIDE WILL BE THE LIVING AREA IN THE 19TH CENTURY.  IT
MUST HAVE BEEN AN INTERESTING PLACE TO RESIDE WITH ITS NOOKS
AND CRANNIES, IN VARIOUS APARTMENTS AND ROOMS. A PITY IT COULD
NOT HAVE BEEN KEPT UP.  WHAT GOOD FORTUNE THAT IN ITS DECAY  THE
ANCIENT HEART OF THIS BUILDING WAS DISCOVERED, AND HISTORY
 IS BEING REVEALED AGAIN.
